I wasn't really trying to compare them both, just trying to use Nolan as an example of how filmmakers can approach the aspect of time in different ways (and actually trying to contrast Nolan and Linklater's approach). I completely agree with your point that Linklater is much more close to Kar-wai rather than Nolan, that is a very interesting comparison I didn't think of while writing this.
