BBB: Small acts, big impact.
Writing 100 words seems trivial.
It’s not really that hard to word vomit 100 words. It takes less than 15 minutes, and, if you really don’t care, you basically just keep typing without stopping and press send. And then you’re done.
And that’s a big reason why people don’t write 100 words a day, or take a morning jog, or learn a language.
Because we don’t really see output from small acts. And a lot of us love output. We love to see results. And so we feel that it’s not worth it to do small acts.
But small acts have big impacts. They’re just not immediately apparent.
100 words a day becomes a novel in two years.
Morning jogs can make you lose 5 kilos in a year.
Donating to 1 charity every day could change the lives of 365 people in a year.
Just because something doesn’t mean anything to you now, it doesn’t mean that it is meaningless.
Instead of trying to achieve monumental feats, start with small acts. Slowly, but surely, you’ll make progress.
