BBB: Nothing special.

There is nothing special about today’s post.

I didn’t have a great idea or a revolutionary epiphany. I didn’t think of something inspiring or heartfelt to share here. Today was just a normal day.

I woke up and spent an hour reading. Then I had lunch and cake for my brother’s birthday. Then I had a nice nap, and woke up to more food. I played the Game of Life until late, and then cooked some instant noodles. Now I’m in bed, watching chess and talking to my girlfriend.

As mundane as today was, I’m happy. I’m content.

Sometimes the happiest days of our lives aren’t when the most extraordinary things happen. They’re the exact opposite — they’re the days where nothing special happens. We just enjoy life and the simplicity of it.
